Fit Latinas Houston

Born and raised within the Houston hustle vibe. El orgullo mas grande de mi vida es mi madre. She taught me how to chase my dreams con coraje! Everything I am was molded by this women. Her struggles, her pains & her sacrifices run through my veins every day. They are my FUEL.

Through Fit Latinas I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to connect with hundreds of women around the U.S. Women in search of the right-for-them tools to a healthy lifestyle. Tools that educate, empower and help sustain a healthy lifestyle through time and trial.

I’m not a certified nutritionist nor am I a certified personal trainer, I’m a practitioner & educator. I also know the struggle. My dads nickname for me was, cachetes (cheeks) growing up. I grew up on beans, rice y mas beans and rice ( because I always asked for seconds ). My most embarrassing elementary moments involve both a scale and a fat caliper. I weighed over 100 lbs by the time I was 8.

I was shy, insecure and overweight, then and it trickled over to my adolescent and young adult years.

It’s easy for my body to gain weight…super easy! The freshman 15 was the freshman 30 for me. I went from 130 to 160 in 3 months.  For the rest of my college life, I tried so hard to drop that weight. But dang it, it was a struggle!

I didn’t want to follow diets, I just wanted to know how all those healthy people were eating every day. I wanted a step by step guide to teach me how to be healthy.

Then, in 2010 I took on a home fitness challenge that changed my life! I dropped 30 lbs and learned how to sustain a healthy lifestyle for the long run. I acquired the know-how, the confidence and the tools to make this lifestyle stick.

Through time, these home fitness challenge tools continue to be a part of my everyday lifestyle. I’m now an Ironman 140.6 finisher, healthy lifestyle coach and all-around health enthusiast sharing the lifestyle through the Fit Latinas platform.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and visit! Es todo un placer and I’m excited for what’s in store for us.

Peace & Love,

Stef
