Meal Prep SUNDAY

So what have I learned that has made life so much easier?  Keep reading for the 3 simple steps that I follow.

I keep talking on and on about how I’m ready to get my butt back into HIGH gear again. After more than a enough pizza, burgers & fries. Monday is here and I am READY!!!!

I have decided that cooking on a day to day is for the birds. After experiencing how glorious it is to have all my meals cooked and ready to eat every day, I don’t think I will EVER go back.

For the Next 3 months I am working out to my 3rd round of P90x3 and Following the 21 Day Fix Eating Plan. I’ve been following the Fix Portion Control System for a little over a year now and I ain’t changing what’s been working. It is the most simple eating plan I’ve ever followed and coached clients through. If you’d like more coaching on this, I run online coaching groups specific to this program.  Nutrition + Fitness + Support. You can learn more about it HERE .

Step 1 :Identifying my Recommended Daily Portions according to the FixFit Latinas 21 Day Fix Portions

Step 3 :Grocery Shopping + Meal Prep

I cook ALL of my meals for the week on Sunday. Our style is simple and effective…the easier the better.

This is what we will eat every day for the next 5 days. The weekends are normally open for flexibility during “relaxed” nutrition time. When we mean business, we leave ZERO room for unplanned meals.

Do you pre-cook all your food at the beginning of the week? Does it stay fresh all week?
Yes! I cook it ALL. My Food Containers keep my food fresh from Sunday night till Friday night.  This works for me and I’ve been doing it for 3 years now. It’s the easiest most efficient way in my opinion.

Do you get bored of eating the same thing every day?
Truthfully…Sometimes. Ray & I eat the same thing every day and typically stick to a 1 week meal plan for at least 2 weeks. To avoid boredom we make little trade offs here and there throughout the week like turkey for chicken or broccoli for brussels sprouts. At the end of the day our #1 goal is to get results NOT necessarily to be fancy chefs.

Do you ever cook a nice warm meal and eat it right after? Of course! Mostly on Sundays for breakfast and the occasional home-cooked romantic dinner for two.

What’s up with the colors at the end (yellow, red, purple)?
The colored containers are the meal portions used in 21 Day Fix/21 Day Fix EXTREME. I use them to measure all my food. I cook my food then measure out my portions into my black Chefland containers for easier organization…they also make me feel LEGIT! I ordered two 10 piece sets and LOVE them!!!

Where do you get those black containers?

I ordered them from Amazon and absolutely LOVE them!!! BPA free, Microwaveable & Dishwasher Safe. You can order them from my online amazon store here —>

So tell me about this 21 Day Fix, does it work?
I’ve been following this meal plan since February of last year and what I choose to run ALL of my challengers through. You can learn more about it and my personal coaching groups HERE
